#fandeTGN SCAN, Pop Art & De Temporada

The friends of Tarragona Cultura have asked a few bloggers from the city to make three cultural recommendations from Tarragona during this year.

I have the luck that I have to write in a month with many activities related to photography and art.
That is why, this weekend I have been led by some of the proposals available

# 1 // SCAN Tarragona

From October 18 to December 21, 2014, the SCAN Tarragona International Photography Festival is held. Created in 2008 by the Generalitat de Catalunya and l’Ajuntament de Tarragona .
It aims to be a meeting point of the most creative photography with activities parallel to the festival throughout the city.

Inside the festival, on Sunday I went to Espai Tabacalera, M2, floor 3 and I was able to enjoy the Talent Latent exhibition of the SCAN PhotoBooks space

Talent Latent is the exhibition that shows the work of ten current international photographers, each with a very personal and striking photographic style, which have been selected from hundreds of proposals by curator Jesús Micó .
Highly recommended, so I only put a small snack of what you can find. Go and let yourself be carried by images and themes that never leave you indifferent.

On the same floor you can find SCAN PhotoBooks where we will enjoy a selection of self-published photobooks from various artists, which serve as a platform to make his work known. A magical space of dim light, where silence invites you to spend long moments, discovering the looks and concerns of emerging artists.

# 2 // Pop art al Port2

It is the title of the exhibition of d ‘ Antonio de Felipe , which you can see in the Tinglado 1 of the Port of Tarragona until 16 November.

This Valencian painter, is one of the main representatives of Spanish Pop Art. It mixes elements of classic art with icons of mass culture, comic elements and advertising easily identifiable. In this case we find works from his last stages Popsport and Lpop.

I recommend it if you like this genre, and it is a success because of the influx of people I have found.

# 3 // De temporada TGN

And from pop art we are going to the popularization of photography!
De Temporada is a project of the artists association Tallers03 to bring the photograph in a fresh and original way.For this reason, its members will assemble every first Saturday of the month, their positions in the market of the Plaça del Fòrum, to share their art.

It has started as one more activity within the SCAN, but they want to keep the stop every Saturday of the year. The artists who promote this initiative are Gerard Boyer, Albert Cilveti, Pep Escoda, Pau Lopez, Rubén Perdomo, Alba Rodríguez, Marta Richardson, Cristina Serra, Pep Serra.

I hope you like my recommendations that will help you be a #fandetgn
